The Kydylanyi is an oil and gas field located in the Sakhalin region of the Russian Federation on the northeast coast, 80 km south from the Okha city.
The Kydylanyi field was discovered in 1961. Since 1962 it was under pilot commercial development, since 1965 oil deposits have been put into development, since 1982 development of gas deposits has been started.
During implementation of the well recovery project using sidetracking method at the Sakhalin project the work was successfully completed on the well №15 of the Kydylanyi field. The depth of the well was 2169 meters, penetration after cutting a window in the casing string was 847 m. The company got the first experience of drilling using hydrocarbon base oil mud.
