ZAPOLYARYE – PURPE

Construction of the crossing through the river Taz became one of the most technically complicated project sites of the oil pipeline system "Zapolyarye – Purpe".

Drilling works were done in ever-frozen soils within conditions of the Polar region at extremely low temperatures. Within realization of the project the "SP VIS-MOS" LLC has constructed two lines under the Taz river (main and reserve lines) of the main oil pipeline Ø820 mm in a protective casing Ø1220 mm and fiber optic cable in a protective casing DN200 mm.

The JSC "Sibnefteprovod" was the customer of the project and the LLC "SP VIS-MOS" has fulfilled a set of design works in construction of the underwater crossing through the river Taz by the directional drilling method, as well as field supervision and General contractor functions in construction of the crossing.

The works were carried out simultaneously using two drilling facilities that allowed the company to maintain time schedule and successfully complete the bottom pipe pulling process within the specified by the contract terms.
