In the geological profile on the crossing’s profile there were semigravel sand, gravel soil, red-brown clay, limestone layers, marls, dolomites, types of gyps, sandstones. Soils non-uniformity demanded to make difficult selection of drilling fluid composition.

Widening and pulling through of the pipeline has been made in the middle of April till beginning of May during the period when there was an ice cover destruction on the river Vym and intensive spring ice drift characterized by the sudden water rise up to 80-150 cm per day that has created difficulties by the water intake from the river for the drilling fluid preparation.

Drilling tool with special rock cutting equipment was applied for the drilling.
