Press auger boring method

Press auger drilling is applied for construction of pipelines under highways, railways, runways and in other cases when soil settlement on the surface is unacceptable.

The auger machine is usually installed in the prepared pit. The car drills using auger which cuts and loosens soil. As far as the machine moves forward pipe joints and auger sections are installed in the ground. The worked-out soil is being removed through the door on the side of machine. So that the soil is excavated only around the perimeter of the thrusted pipe that gives a full guarantee that the surface of surmounted obstacle will not be deformed.

Press auger drilling is important both within the field conditions and in dense areas, the benefits of this technology are similar to the advantages of horizontal directional drilling.
